Easy Steps to Maximize Your Chances of Conception

Number of couples gets pregnant within a year, but around 1 in 7 couples are unable to conceive in a year or take longer time to get pregnant. If you are also unable to conceive after a year of unprotected intercourse, don't worry because you are not alone. Here we discuss some easy steps to maximize your chances of conception in less than 4 weeks. Read them and improve your fertility with these simple steps.

Step 1: Schedule an appointment with your doctor for early prenatal care.

If you have not chosen a doctor yet it's important to do so now because it may often takes time to search an experienced and skilled practitioner. Once you find your doctor, discuss all your fertility issue. Remember prenatal care is absolutely essential for you and your baby's health. Therefore it is better to see a medical professional sooner.

Step 2: Discuss about stopping the use of contraceptive pill with your doctor.

Believing on some studies, there might be a delay of several months when you stop taking the pills before the beginning of ovulation. If you are planning to get pregnant you may want to change your birth control method now giving time to your body to adjust with life without hormones of contraceptive before trying to conceive. Most probably your doctor will discuss what's right for you.

Step 3: Try to identify your most fertile time.

You can use pregnancy planning kit in order to determine the 2 days when you are most likely to ovulate. This home test kit detects body's LH surge which indicates that ovulation is going to take place in 24-36 hours. Have intercourse within this time window will maximize your chances of falling pregnant.

Step 4: Make changes in your lifestyle.

Preparing yourself for pregnancy means it's time to make some necessary changes in your lifestyle that will help you and your baby's health throughout your pregnancy as well as lifetime. Healthy diet is the main necessity, so speak with your doctor or nutritionist about any specific requirements and healthy diet that will ensure your own best health and successful delivery of a healthy baby.

In addition, as per some research having two cups of coffee in a day won't hurt yours and your baby's health, but too much caffeine may lead to miscarriage or premature birth. So don't it at all and try to prefer decaf beverages instead. Alcohol, smoking and illicit drugs are strictly prohibited during or before pregnancy as it is not worth the risk.

Speak to your doctor about the prescription medicines and its effects on health of the baby. Ask about appropriate exercise plan that helps to promote muscle tone, endurance and strength. Exercise, meditation and yoga will also prepare you for the stress of labour and also make it easier for you to get back into shape after baby is born.

Step 5: Speak to your partner and tell him to avoid hot baths, the sauna and the spas as warm temperature lead to lower sperm count.

Step 6: Last but not least. Feel Relax and stay happy all the time. The more you do to relive stress the more your body will likely to ovulate normally.
