23 Weeks Pregnant - Get Plump My Baby

Whoopee! You're on your 23th week now! Getting plumper? How about your bundle of joy inside? He's done a lot of maturing this week for sure. At the moment, he is over a pound and less than 11 inches in length. Your little doll is getting chubby this week and he'll have his weight doubled in the next week. When baby is packing on some pounds, it also means that you will also be gaining more weight. So you brace yourself mommy! Right now, his nervous and muscular systems are much more developed compared to the previous weeks. He is also fully covered with lanugo- a soft, fluffy covering of hair, which provides heat and keeps him warm. Even if, lanugo hair continually falls and replaced, it is also shed off permanently in the latter part of pregnancy making way for a thicker, more permanent hair. Although, you're still in the middle part of your pregnancy, there is always a possibility that your baby will be born at this time. However, if that happens, he is likely to have a lesser chance of survival unlike those babies that reach full term. So you should take extra care of yourself while expecting.

As you and baby continue to grow, you will also get clumsier. Finding yourself bumping into things most often can be quite frustrating for you and a little bit amusing to others around you. That is because your center of gravity has shifted immensely. While you are trying to get a grip of your balance, baby is also taking advantage of having lots of room to move inside the womb and making his movements stronger than before. Be sure you get as much rest as you can because as you go on, it will get harder for you to get some sleep. Snoring for one can disrupt your sleep as well as your inability to get a comfortable position. Your appetite is still at its peak making you gain more weight while bloating continues to take part of your daily life.

Despite the whirlwind of emotions that you are also feeling now keep in mind that it is a wonderful fulfilling experience to carry another life inside you. So cherish these moments and warn your husband that it is useless to mess up with a pregnant woman because he can't win!
